The Australia-China Food Safety and Traceability Forum and Australia-China (Hunan) Trade Matchmaking Conference was held in Sydney on 28th of November.
In recent years, the food safety issue has topped the agendas of many Chinese government departments. From October 2015, China started to implement the new Food Safety Law and in December the same year, the State Council publicized a Notice to promote the development of a traceability system for key products. The safety of key imports of foreign food products thus becomes an issue of hot discussion. CCIC Traceability System has been established to meet the needs of policy requirements and market changes. This Australia-China Food Safety and Tracebility Forum is an event for all parties concerned to come together to address these issues.
Attending the event are delegates from China Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, representatives from China’s Consulate General in Sydney, NSW government and Austrade, as well as businesses from Australia and Hunan province.
